Rebuild Bolt Face

A Winchester bolt sent in after having been bushed by someone else. The bushing was made of a soft material. Also a huge hole was bored into the face and very deep. The support for the back of the bushing was so thin it was setting back in the bolt. Also the firing pin was turned off center and .0510 diameter with a .0650 firing pin hole.

This is the bolt face with the bushing removed. You can see the size & depth of the hole. This repair took a bit to figure out to save the bolt and bring back the ability to handle pressure.

Here is the finished re-built bolt face. You can see the bushing remnant that was machined out. The bolt now has a .0625 firing pin hole and .0600 new pin diameter.
